Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 1 July 2026

1. Our commitment

I tesori della Russia is intended to be accessible, understandable and usable by as many people as possible. We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at AA level, good Swiss and European practice for digital accessibility, and a clear, calm and semantically structured web design.

2. Accessibility measures

In design, editorial work and technical implementation, the following measures are pursued in particular:

  • clear heading structure and semantic HTML markup;
  • keyboard-operable navigation and visible focus states;
  • sufficient colour contrast and readable typography;
  • responsive display for different screen sizes;
  • descriptive link text and understandable page titles;
  • alternative text for key artwork images where art-historically meaningful and technically possible;
  • separate German and English language versions with correct language markup;
  • avoidance of unnecessary animations, automatic movement and unexplained visual effects;
  • alternative contact options for inaccessible content.

3. Known limitations

Some content may temporarily not be fully accessible, in particular historical image material, complex artwork images, provided PDF documents, embedded third-party platforms, external database views or technical elements provided by interne Sammlungsdatenbank and other third-party services. Where third-party functions cannot be fully controlled by us, we endeavour to provide accessible alternatives, such as textual artwork data, summaries or information by email.

4. Artwork images and alternative text

For works of art, alternative text can never fully replace the visual experience. We therefore use concise, factual alternative text to identify the work and provide supplementary catalogue data, artwork descriptions and context information. Additional descriptions can be requested for scholarly or accessibility-related needs.

5. Feedback and contact

If you encounter barriers or need content in an alternative format, please contact us at info@gfmtrust.net. Where possible, please specify the affected page, the issue, the device or assistive technology used and the form of assistance requested.

6. Continuous improvement

Accessibility is treated as an ongoing quality process. The website should be reviewed again after major content or technical releases and improved where necessary.
